Support
Answers to the questions that come up, and a person for the rest.
Reach a person
Write to hello@crewqr.com. It goes to a
human, not a queue. Put your company
code in the subject if you have one — it is the first part of your company's address, like
bai in bai.crewqr.com.
Signing in
- Crew, on the phone app (CrewQR Time Clock — in review at the App Store and
Google Play; the web app at your company's address does the same job meanwhile): the first
screen asks for your company code. After that it is your employee number and your
PIN. Both come from your office — the app does not create accounts and cannot
look you up by name.
- Crew, on the web: your company's address (
yourcode.crewqr.com),
then the same number and PIN.
- Lost your PIN? Ask your office. An administrator issues a new one from the
Workers screen in a few seconds. We cannot do it for you: we do not hold your PIN and we would
not hand one to somebody claiming to be you.
- Administrators sign in with their email and password. Lost the password? Use
email yourself a link on your company's sign-in page, or one of the recovery codes
sent when the company was created. Lost all three? Write to us and we will check who you are
and issue new codes by hand.
- Forgot the company code? It is the first part of your company's web address,
and it is in the welcome email the office received. Ask the office, or write to us with the
company's name.
Location and what the app records
The phone app records where you are only between clocking in and clocking out,
and only if you switch that on yourself. It is never required: a punch is never refused for
having no location. The Phone tab in the app shows exactly what is being recorded and has the
switch to turn it off. What the app holds about you, and why, is written out at your company's
address under /privacy.php (for example
demo.crewqr.com/privacy.php), and is linked from
the sign-in screen and the Phone tab.
Leaving a company, or removing somebody
Workers are added and removed by the office, in the web app, so there is no delete-account
button in the phone app: sign out from the Phone tab and ask your office to deactivate you.
Your hours stay on the company's records because they are wage records the law expects an
employer to keep; what may lawfully be erased on request, the office can erase from your record.
Details are on the privacy page.
Something is wrong
- A punch went missing or is wrong. Tell your foreman or office — they can
correct it, and every correction is recorded with who made it and why.
- No signal. Punch anyway. It is saved on the phone and sent when you are back
in range; the office sees it marked as recorded offline.
- The app will not sign in. Check the company code (no spaces, no
.crewqr.com), then the employee number. After several wrong PINs the account waits
fifteen minutes before it will try again.
- Anything else — including a security concern —
hello@crewqr.com, or
what we do about security.
